Leonardo Tornabene

About

Leonardo Tornabene is a wedding photographer and videomaker of Sicilian origin.

Strongly driven by a great passion for cinema and photography, he decided to take his first steps in the field, acquiring technique and skills as a self-taught photographer and following only his desire to recreate images with a strong emotional component.

He later decided to improve his knowledge by enrolling in the school of Photojournalism directed by Valerio Bispuri and with a series of wedding photography courses, which allowed him not only to experiment and gain experience, but also and above all to perfect his art.

His art is one that needs no explanation and stands out for its ability to get straight to the heart in a clear and immediate way,

guided by a strong aesthetic sense and an undeniable mastery in handling a medium so extraordinary, fascinating and mysterious as only a camera can be.

A freelancer with a degree in law, Giuseppe Virzì approached photography already in his teens when travelling around Europe in a camper with his family, he tried to immortalize landscapes and people he met. It was precisely his passion for travel that led him, over time, to write guidebooks and photograph the landscapes of Sicily and beyond, accompanying the texts with his photographs.

Later his photography evolved, becoming more intimate.

In addition, he has attended numerous workshops, seminars and photography festivals, with authors such as Mario Cresci, Tano D'Amico, Carmelo Bongiorno, Mustafa Sabbagh, Giuseppe Palmisano and many others.

He has photographed Michele Guardì for a private university and lent his services to events with brands of the calibre of Brugal 1888.

Since 2015 he has been working with Leonardo Tornabene's Balloon Rouge wedding photographers, drawing on his personal training and experience in the field.

Leonardo Raineri, born in Catania in a village on the slopes of Etna, was a dynamic, charismatic young man with a flair for beauty. He first became interested in advertising in 2011 and from that moment on decided he had an overwhelming desire to pursue this path.

His passions have always been driven by a strong attraction to the seventh art, advertising and its concept of perfection, a perfect combination to give his projects a cinematographic style from an advertising perspective, allowing him to tell through images and sounds, stories and indelible moments to remember and transmit to others, arousing emotions and curiosity.

He took his first steps with his first reflex camera, which he bought with many sacrifices, and created a number of emotion-packed commercials and short films to raise awareness about certain social issues;

the positive feedback he received gave him the impetus to undertake new projects.

He still directs numerous advertising sets nationwide, taking care of all phases of the projects, which are full of singular and introspective content that distinguishes itself from the competition in an elegant and visually striking way.

Since 2015 he has been at the service of Leonardo Tornabene's Balloon Rouge, where he seeks to improve and make available his wealth of experience, to narrate your most unforgettable moments.

He developed his first film at the age of 16 during a scout camp, and it was at that moment that Carlo Arcidiacono fell in love with photography.

Accustomed to holding the family Reflex camera in his hands since he was a child, he began his professional career in 2010 when he worked as a photographer with a Sicilian sports newspaper “Lo Sport Web”.

In 2012, while at university, he came across photo-journalism and started working with the agency and international school of photo-journalism Gerta Human Reports.

His passion for travel led him to produce a number of reportages, from the Mediterranean Sea to Iceland and Albania. He has been a wedding photographer since 2015;

his photographs, which are always authentic, try to tell the story of the moment and capture the emotion in a click and make it eternal.

His is a narrative path within a story that is experienced together with the people involved. He is a reporter who always manages to be in the right place at the right click, without invading the scene and letting it flow in its natural evolution.

Since 2017 he has been working with Leonardo Tornabene as a photographer and videographer.

As a freelancer, he has worked with various wedding photographers, corporate photographers and national TV stations in the field of travel reportage, including working with TV presenter Licia Coló for the programme "il mondo Insieme".

“The essence of a photo is not so much the technical means used as the sometimes childish desire to find oneself through the viewfinder”.
